Thunderous applause

I have recently been informed of one of the strongest confirmations of the Black Hole Principle yet.  For those of you who may not have read Punk Science, the central thesis is that the entire universe works in a fractal fashion, that is we can see structures behaving in the same way from the very large - such a supermassive black hole in the middle of a galaxy to the very small, such as a subatomic quark and everything in between, giving us a scientific framework for everything from galaxies, stars and planets to quarks and chakras. (1) Sounds preposterous doesn't it? In conventional science, such objects are not related at all and chakras are not even worth considering.

But when you break down the behavior of everything from black holes to planets to stars, you can see the same patterns emerging. It is easy when you know how and, when you get the hang of it, you too will become a cosmological sleuth, scanning the headlines for unexplained happenings in space that you can now fit into a framework. Once you have the framework you can even make predictions about what we should find in structures that we have not yet examined.

It is this power to predict that makes a scientific idea so powerful. Anybody can squish up some theories after the fact, generating computer models with contortional fudge factors to make the theories fit the data and indeed this is what some scientists do for a living! But unless you can predict the behaviour of our universe, this method remains what it is: retrospective wishful thinking.

So if you recall, in Punk Science, I describe how black holes have been found to be not so black after all, and instead give out high powered radiation. It took mainstream scientists some time to realise that this is what their own data meant, but eventually they had to admit that their long cherished idea, that black holes are guzzling monsters, is actually wrong and they released an announcement to the public in 2009 that black holes actually have a hand in creating galaxies - a good six years after I had published this insight myself.(2)

So not only are black holes not the guzzling gravity monsters that they were once thought  to be, they also emit very powerful radiation - sometimes electrons at the speed of light, sometimes antimatter positrons which are the mirror image of electrons, and sometimes gamma radiation, which is a form of electromagnetic radiation created when an electron and positron collide and cancel each other out.

In Punk Science, I give copious evidence of how this behaviour is not limited to black holes but is indeed fractal and happening at every level of the universe, from stars to planets to even comets and yes, analogous processes are even occurring inside you right now, in your atoms and quarks and DNA. This theory could even provide an explanation for the long scoffed at, but nevertheless doggedly persistent, concept of chakras.

Black holes, it turns out, are the focal point for how creation happens. They really should no longer be called black holes as in fact as there is nothing really black or hole- ish about them once you realise how they really behave. Instead they are the point at which light from other dimensions, light that we cannot perceive in this dimension, makes its way into our dimension which exists below the speed of light. Hence we see emissions of electrons at almost the speed of light being emitted from black holes, a fact which puzzles astrophysicists. The electrons are caused by light from higher dimensions that reaches our dimension before splitting into a particle of matter - eg. electrons and antimatter eg. positrons. When they recombine, they emit gamma-ray radiation.

This behaviour is seen repeatedly throughout the cosmos and explains the mysterious and powerful gamma ray flashes that have puzzled scientists since their discovery over fifty years ago. In one of the most dramatic and surprising examples of the Black Hole Principle in action, gamma-ray bursts have been found in the earth's upper atmosphere and amazingly they release energy as powerful as the black holes in out space! They have been labelled Terrestrial Gamma-Ray Flashes (TGFs) and have been noted to be associated with thunderstorms.

In 2006 when I published Punk Science, I announced to the world that I believed that these TGFs were yet another example of Black Hole Principle behaviour. However, NASA did not fully study these phenomena until around January 2010 when an appropriate telescope was set into space.

If the Black Hole Principle is correct then, as I predicted, we should see electrons emitted in the region of TGFs almost at the speed of light. And, just as around a supermassive black hole in the centre of galaxies, antimatter should also be detected.

The results from the Fermi telescope are in, and to NASA's surprise, indeed almost supraluminal electrons and antimatter have been detected around TGFs.(3) Of course, if you visit NASA's website, they give you some clumsy retrospective explanation to try and act as if they know what is going on and they are not caught off guard. But if you know what to expect with the Black Hole Principle, it all fits an elegant, simple picture and there is no need to concoct a new explanation for every scenario you come across. You have one explanation that fits all and even allows you to make predictions; Nature is best understood when you stick to simple, elegant rules.

So all in all, this discovery marks a triumph for the Black Hole Principle theory as there is something about the fact that TGFs are so close to home that makes it all the more pertinent. The observations that NASA are making now were predicted by the theory some years ago. I think that deserves some thunderous applause, don't you?

How to tell your God Blobs from your Twin Rays - a multidimensional guide to relationships

We all have it - deep inside of us, that yearning to be in an indefinable place...home. Whether we are in a happy relationship or not, there is something about the human spirit that is constantly searching. It is as if we have lost part of ourselves and want to be reunited with it. This longing manifests itself in our relationships as we search for that person who can give us the feeling of being home at last - someone who completes us.

This pattern of behaviour can manifest a lot of heartaches as we search for love, projecting fulfilment onto person after person thinking we have found ‘the one’ that we can call home, only to have the scales fall from our eyes. Sometimes we become disillusioned as we realize that this person cannot fulfil all the faculties that we want them to. This person is not, after all, home.

In earlier times of human history, relationships were more perfunctory - more about reproduction and division of labour; people didn’t live as long as they do now, so cracks in relationships didn’t matter quite as much. Now that relationships have the potential to last much longer and many people can choose their own partners, all sorts of relationship patterns are coming to the surface. We have huge expectations for relationship fulfilment. Added to this, more women are now financially empowered so feel less trapped in a relationship that is not working for them.

So what is happening within our relationships? Why do we have a feeling that we are yearning for home? In this article I will be describing the various dynamics of relationships from the perspective of a multidimensional universe and reveal the esoteric information that has been given to me as to what happens in relationships at a soul level.

What is a multidimensional universe anyway?

The universe has many planes of existence or dimensions. These can often be hidden, but certain people, who have been known throughout the ages as 'mystics', have been able to see into these hidden realms. The dimensions are all related but are different in their own ways. As a general rule, one could say that higher dimensions that are more complex in geometry than ours, have a defining role in our dimension. This is a bit like having a projector cast an image on a screen in the cinema. We go to the cinema and see the image, but often do not see the projector creating the image. The image is like our dimension and most of us are just aware of the image and do not see what creates it which exists in a different dimension.

How have I gained this information about relationships?

Although I have not had many relationships in my life - they have been major ones. They have affected me deeply and in the course of processing their emotional fallout, I was given some information in visions and channelings which have been corroborated by events in this dimension. I have been encouraged by friends to share this information as this is a topic around which there is much pain and confusion. In order to best describe how our souls are all related to each other, it is best to do tell you of my multidimensional vision. I shall tell you the vision in the form of a story.

The God Blob story

The God blob
The God blob

In the beginning was the God Blob. This was a huge silver, shimmery, moving amorphous mass that contained every soul that has ever been and ever will be. The God Blob decided, for reasons only known to itself to split itself off into many myriads of parts.

These many parts are what we know as souls. These souls split off from the original God Blob in a similar fashion to how a cell splits itself. So first in two and then in four and then again and again. Except there is a difference to the way in which the God blob splits compared to how a cell splits, because the God blob isn’t only splitting in two, it is splitting in many dimensions: many planes of existence.

So from the original God blob came smaller blobs. These gave rise to many more souls. One could trace these souls back to the first four blobs that came off the original God blob and call this their common ancestor. Within the first few generations are what we would call the angels and the archangels. So it could be said that each of us, if we were to trace our souls through the dimensions, can name an angel and an archangel as our ancestor. So the splitting occurs again and again until downstream there are many myriads of souls including those of all the human beings that exist or have ever existed.

The God Blob Tree of relationships

The God blob branches off

Even though there are billions of people in the world, all of our souls have come from one source - the original God Blob. We are all related to each other. Like branches of a tree, there are many different lineages through the dimensions of souls that have come from the original source.

As we go about our daily lives, we may meet souls that come from branches of the tree that are relatively far away from us. They are the ones with whom we have little to do with - the stranger we pass on the street and never see again. We cannot say we have absolutely nothing to do with them because ultimately we are all one and all related. But some souls will not make much of an impact on our lives in this or any of our incarnations.

Some people are very close to us on the branches of the tree. They may be our family members. People with whom we incarnate with again and again. And then there are our personal romantic love relationships. Our romantic relationships exist at different levels of connection depending on how the two souls involved are related to each other in the divisions of the original God Blob.

This is also where our analogy is restricted somewhat because branches of a tree can be visualized as a linear process. But this story is not played out just in our dimension, but in higher dimensions also. So connections and geometries exist in higher dimensions that don’t exist in ours and are difficult to explain in our language. For us, it is best to describe the connections as branches of a tree, but know this is a simplification. So let’s have a closer look at the different types of connections and dynamics that exist in relationships when using this framework.

The Temporary Mirror

Everything and everyone is ultimately a part of the one God Blob and truly remains so at some level. However, in this dimension, we appear separate and yearn to be whole again. So in order to become whole, we need to integrate and love all parts of ourselves, including the aspects of ourselves that we find shameful and want to hide - sometimes called the shadow. It is a beautiful and amazing aspect of the universe that it is constantly helping us on our journey.

So we are given people and situations who help mirror that shadow back to us so that we can see it. When we learn to love that hidden and rejected aspect of ourselves, we become integrated and move a step closer to becoming whole.

There are lots of levels of temporary mirrors and sometimes these soul connections will even make very long and happy marriages. Sometimes the people who have acted as a temporary mirror - be it a friend or lover or even a spouse, may move away from your life. That is fine, their part has been played and they no longer need to be in your life.

Soul Mates - The Irresistible Attraction

Soul mates
Soulmate attractions can be very happy and right for most people

Why do we feel an attraction to another person? Some people feel a sense of familiarity with a person even if they have just met. The attraction can be overwhelming and even if all their friends can see the warning signs, the person cannot stop from entering into a relationship.

Some of these Irresistible Attraction scenarios are with people at the close Soul Mate position in relation to each other in the God Blob divisions. These are souls with whom you reincarnate many times over the course of your lifetimes. Sometimes they appear in your life as a family member, sometimes as a romantic relationship. These relationships, the ones that seem inexplicable to others but irresistible to the people who are in it, are often ones in which the two souls involved have a lot of karma to sort out.

They have made a soul agreement at a ‘higher’ dimensional level to incarnate many times together to teach each other emotional lessons in order to grow. Before you even were born into this life, you have agree to certain soul mates at a particular time and learn certain lessons. Sometimes through the lessons, a person learns something so valuable, they go onto completely transform their lives.

We are here in incarnation in order to learn and grow as much as we can and the maximum growth and facing of our shadow is done with our karmic soul mates - either lovers or family, but most often it is the lovers that hit home the most. That is why the attraction is so strong.

Sometimes these relationships can end up going really badly wrong. The people involved can start to wonder what they saw in the other - why were they so attracted in the first place. Sometimes people keep going back to the relationship when they know that it is not good for them because the karma is not finished. They may not even know why they are acting in this way. Forces are acting at a soul level to perform the final balancing for this lifetime in order for both souls to move to the next stage. When it is over, it will be definitely over and the intellect cannot force this to happen.

Not all soulmate connections are explosive; some people meet a soul mate and it is not turbulent because it is not necessary for this lifetime. Their life purpose may not necessitate that sort of soul searching and they can have quite steady lives. The love and connection between soul mates is to complete karma, despite the strong attraction. If the relationship breaks up, the karma is over and the people involved will eventually move on. The connection at the God Blob level is not so close on the tree for them to have a lasting impression necessarily.

Twin Flames

Twin flames
Twin flames can be very powerful

Here comes the doozy!! Twin flames are another level up of connection in the God Blob. These are souls with whom you have a close soul bond with. This is a soul very close to the point at which you split off the original God Blob. In my experience, this type of relationship is actually quite rare. People often mistake the soul mate type of connection to be a twin flame because the attraction in those relationships can be so overpowering.

If the twin flame relationship comes into your life, you know it. The connection between these souls is so strong that paranormal effects can be experienced. They can feel the same things, dream the same dreams, complete each others' sentences. These souls have not only met on the earth plane before, but they recognize each other on a galactic level and have met on other dimensions. This is the initiation of the heart. These two beings are connected through the heart chakra and when this is experienced, it becomes clear to those involved that previous relationships have not touched them quite so deeply.

This connection is unforgettable and the relationship can linger for many years as the two people involved are literally a part of each other. They did not so much as meet as recognize one another again in this lifetime. Nevertheless, there is evidence that these relationships do not last very long - just have a glance at the outpourings of heartbreak on the various twin flame forums. Instead, twin flame connections tend to burn brightly and quickly. They can even lead to destroying one way of life in order to make way for a new one.

There is not all that much karma at this level as these souls are relatively close. Sometimes the purpose of these relationships is not to live happily after, but to blast the heart chakra open with the experience of a true love connection so that the people involved understand the state of universal love which exists everywhere and also learn to love themselves. I have also been told by my guidance that the planet is not ready for many such unions of the heart - it is not yet at the right frequency of consciousness.

A note about terminology - the term ‘twin flame’ is sometimes used as a description for the ultimate union. But this is not the way it has been shown to me in the visions that I have. I was led to the following Sananda channelling having been given the words ‘twin flame’ by my guides which meant nothing to me at the time.

According to Sananda, everyone has seven twin flames, probably due to the geometry of the way in which the God Blob splits off.  A twin flame does not have to enter a relationship with you - that many not be part of the agreement you have in this life. They can be both of the same or of opposite sex to you. It seems to be part of the soul path to experience the heart connection of the twin flame before entering the ultimate union of the twin ray.

The Twin Ray

Twin flames
Twin Ray - the ultimate union

This level of connection is the ultimate union in relationships. A true twin ray relationship is very rare and is the type of relationship that we hear of in legends. At this level of connection, the two souls actually split off of the God Blob at the same level. They are the male/female , antimatter/matter counterpart of each other. The same pattern can also be seen in twin galaxies and binary stars.

At this level of connection, there is very little or no karma between people and can only occur when the people involved have spent some time becoming whole in themselves before they are able to handle this type of connection. They have to be in a permanent state of unconditional love for themselves and everything in the universe first before they can reach this space.

Sometimes these relationships are set up between souls when there is a specific and important purpose to achieve within a lifetime. Most esoteric sources agree that most people will not meet their twin ray on the Earth plane although this situation seems to be changing as humanity and the planet evolves. Sometimes twin rays do not exist on the same plane at the same time at all.

People sometimes use the word 'consort' to describe twin ray unions often relating to goddesses and gods, for example, Parvati and Shiva but it may also be applied to legendary lovers such as Tristan and Isolde. Although people yearn to meet their twin ray in the life and plane of existence they are currently aware of, they may not have chosen to do so before they incarnated.

However, it may be your time and these are some steps you can take to get ready for the union that you have already chosen for your self. In my book, The Genius Groove, I discuss this type of circular causality in greater detail. You prepare for something because you have already chosen for it to happen in your life and in preparing, you create the vibration which attracts it.

The Groovy guide to relationships

1) Don’t continuously seek a relationship.

You have probably heard this many times before and everyone seems to know about giving off a desperate vibe. It actually runs much deeper than that. It is about the deep completion of yourself and not needing another.

I believe the way to do this most effectively is for each of us to find our unique purpose - our own Genius Groove. This is the creative endeavour that really makes your heart sing. That way you are in a relationship with yourself first, tapping the depths of your own soul. It is important to really be in that space vibrationally and emotionally and not just do it lip service in order to move on to the stage of finding someone.

When you find your Genius Groove, your whole being shifts. You become in an ecstatic relationship with yourself and don’t need a relationship with someone else. That is not to say you will not have one, it is that you no longer feel the need for anyone to complete you; you are completing yourself. This, of course, is when a balanced loving relationship is more likely to come into your life, to reflect the deep love and respect you have found within.

2) Relationships are not about happy ever after - they are the biggest learning ground you can have.

Ever since we are young, we are sold the story of the little princess who goes to live with the prince in a beautiful castle and they live happily ever after. Maybe that explains why, despite high divorce rates, fairytale weddings do not seem to abate. We still believe in the romance and the dream of wedded bliss.

How different life would be if we understood from the outset that our closest relationships are about mirroring our darkest emotions back to ourselves, the shadow that we cannot confront. It is not about the easy ride, but about maximum learning.

If we enter relationships with the knowledge that your partner’s purpose is to push all your buttons, then guess what? You will have no rose tinted glasses to pull off and you are more likely to have a smoother ride. The irony is that by having a balanced view and not projecting our unfulfilled needs on another, our relationships are more likely to be happier and more balanced. By not expecting a happy ever after and letting it go, you are more likely to get it.

3) Be ready to look in the mirror.

Twin flames mirror

See all relationships, be it the love of your life or the bus driver you saw for as second this morning, as a reflection of something about you. The God Blob represents the whole totality of all the souls that ever existed in the universe and at some level, we have never truly split off. We are all united still. So all of our relationships, however long they last, are all about bringing our separation into awareness so we can integrate and heal. Maybe this will lead us back to being a part of the one God blob yet again.

Everything that pushes your button is actually a shadow polarity of your self that you haven't been able to accept about yourself. Because we can only get back to being a God Blob through integration and love. So if both partners in a love relationship have made this connection that everything is about shining a light on the shadow then it is possible to have a relationship in full awareness. You can only attract a partner like this when you have fully settled in this yourself of course.

So in an emotionally aware relationship, it is actually possible to argue and disagree and go through the usual relationships disharmonies, but at the same time, always keep the awareness throughout that this is a learning process for integrating shadow. So it is not about repressing your feelings but getting what you need to learn from them and understanding that what you are seeing the other person does is as much about you as it is about them.

Maybe you didn’t get your needs met as a child and now place demands on your partner that can never be fulfilled. There may also come a point when you have learnt all the lesson you need to learn from that person. You have come to a natural point when you see the God-self through that person - you feel unconditional love for them, but know that they are not for the rest of your journey and that is OK too. It is time to let go and something will make that clear and for you to go into the next phase of your life.

Conclusion

So this is a glimpse into how a multidimensional understanding of souls splitting from the original one source or God Blob can help to explain the different levels and dynamics of relationships and assist us on our journey. I hope this helps to give a new perspective on relationships. This is a very nice video explaining some similar concepts if you would like to explore further.

Dawkins, Darwin and other Dogma: how the tenets of biology are crumbling

It wasn't supposed to be this way. We were supposed to have it sussed by now. You wouldn’t think that anything is awry from the plaudits laid upon Darwin in the bicentenary year of 2009. The impression these celebrations gave is that biology is all sorted. We know what it is all about - Darwin laid the seed and everything we have learnt about evolution has just followed on from there.

The discovery of the structure of DNA in the 1950s just seemed to cement the paradigm - we had the mechanisms by which evolution occurred.  And so we entered the era which is sometimes known as neo-Darwinisn which combines his theories with modern knowledge of genetics. It has given rise to some extreme views such as Dawkins' selfish genes which basically says that the whole point of an organism, all its behaviours and traits, are simply geared towards the survival of the gene in order to pass it onto their progeny. Genes are dictating from within and reign supreme.
Ironically, Darwin was more flexible than his so-called champions who have come after him; he was a true scientist in that he knew that discoveries that were to come after he was gone, may prove him wrong and he was quite open to that.(1) Not so the neo-Darwinists who have given the public the impression that the mechanisms of hereditary have long been sussed. Instead, new evidence is emerging all the time which is showing up the Neo-Darwinists' ideas for what they are - metaphors and dogmas, not the true spirit of open science, based on evidence and exploration.(2) It turns out that life is much too complex to be reduced to the selfish needs of one molecule. Let’s look at three areas of this current paradigm revolution.
Revolution number one - Get with your surroundings
The debate has long raged in biology, how much are we due to our genes and how much due to our environment? The debate seemed to have been won by the gene advocates who have ruled the arena for so long, we have almost forgotten that there ever was another point of view.
Indeed, those who have suggested that the environment has anything to do with the expression of genes have been seen as heretics. It has instead been a gene dictatorship and we have been reduced to passive pawns in a game of evolution which has nothing to do with us as individuals, but is all about maintaining the immortality of a molecule within us.
Well it turns out that those who position themselves as über scientists are just not proposing a scientific viewpoint. The evidence is mounting within mainstream academic science that the environment has a strong effect on gene expression. Taken further with the emergence of Bruce Lipton's excellent and ground-breaking work, it is the perception of the environment which feeds back to receptors in the cell membrane, informing gene expression.
No doubt, Lipton's work will be seen as heresy by many. After all, they have taken all this time to consider an environmental input for gene expression and they do not want to add something as nebulous as 'perception', which cannot be felt or dissected, to the rapidly changing mix. I refer you to Lipton's website for the papers on how perception of the environment alters gene expression.

That is not all - recent findings have taken us far from the view that we are automatons simply existing to propagate our genes which dictate our lives to us. Evidence is emerging that shows epigenetic modulations to the genome could even be passed onto our progeny.(3) This means that the changes to the expression of its DNA that one organism learns during the course of its lifetime in response to its environment are actually passed onto its children. The gene is no longer in dictatorship: it turns out that it has been listening all along! We are living in flow with our environment and this shows up at the molecular level.
Revolution two - Survival of .. those who cooperate
‘Survival of the fittest’ - it started out as a tenet of Darwinian biology but gradually became entrenched into our psyches as we came to believe that this is simply how things are, wasn’t biology telling us so? Darwin’s concept of natural selection meant that if a population is faced with adverse environmental conditions, the ones who happen to have favourable genes, perhaps through a random mutation, will adapt better to the environment and therefore survive to a reproduce more progeny who will also spread this new adaptive advantage until eventually the new population replaces the old.
It is all very good in theory and this clawing-your-way-to-the-top-of-the-pack mentality has fueled our beliefs and imaginations, for example the Gordon Gekko character of the 1980s hit film Wall Street who compares his behavior to the processes of evolution.

Does the science add up however? Recent findings would suggest that this kind of rapid spread of an advantageous gene has been very rare within human populations (and in many plants and animals too), with it more likely to spread slowly due to natural population migration rather through a fitter population replacing another. (4) In fact, if some members of the population are blessed with a genetic advantage, rather than knocking out the rest of the population, could it be that they have actually helped the rest of the population to survive? Could human beings have been practicing cooperation the whole time?
In any case, the evidence is showing us that we need to reassess the rules of natural selection as it seems that survival of the fittest may not be the law of the jungle anymore. It will be interesting to see what this will do to our psyches if this new scientific evidence trickles down to the public. Will this lead to a reinvention of Gordon Gekko’s famous line as ‘cooperation is good”?
Revolution Three - Back to the drawing board with the human genome
Ten years ago, it all seemed so tangible; the human genome project was about to be completed and the excitement was building in anticipation of an era of personalised medicine. Once the genome had been sequenced we believed that we were going to create medicines that were specific to the individual based on their genetic profile. We also believed that we were going to be able to predict which diseases we were likely to get in the future.
Ten years and much analysis later, the results so far have been almost universally disappointing. People thought that by analysing lots of different people’s genomes, those who have diseases and those who don’t, they would be able to tell which patterns of DNA belonged to which disease. (5)

The human genome project has not lived up to its promise of better health
This was done by monitoring something called single nucleotide polymorphisms or SNPs. To understand this concept, think of a stretch of DNA like a word that we all carry around. If everyone carries the same word, but some of us spell it slightly differently, for example by substituting some of the letters, we can examine whether these changes have any consequences such as disease?
Just a few years ago scientists were confident that if we found these changes, we would be able to tell which changes led to which diseases and certainly some scientists still feel that way. But many are starting to come around to the view that we have been barking up the wrong tree all along. When we look at the SNPs that we know about, they do very little to predict disease. Even though we have identified many SNPs for diabetes for example, it turns out that this is only allowing us to predict 6% of the heritability of the disease.
These dim results have caused David B Goldstein of Duke University to proclaim, the whole hypothesis as a thing of the past, saying, “We have entered and left that field, which explained less than a lot of people thought it would.”
So what now? What does it mean that, with a few exceptions, we cannot find a strong correlations between our genome and diseases? Some are already looking beyond the DNA to epigenetic factors and examining how these lead to disease. Some are realising that so-called ‘junk’ DNA, which has previously been discarded as not having any function, may have important regulatory functions.
But what if there is a further lesson here? Even when the human genome project revealed that we only have 20,000 genes, far fewer than the 150,000 expected, some still clung to the paradigm that genes make us who we are. And now that the results show fairly conclusively that, except in some rare cases, we cannot look to our genome to tell us if we are likely to develop a disease or not, some scientists seem to think that the promised land still exists.
What if we need to look deeper to find the answers to why we behave the way we do, or develop diseases? If we cannot look to a molecule within us, maybe we need to look deeper than that. Physics has long declared matter to be made up of information, not of solid particles. This information lies deep to the molecule and deep to the atom and makes up all of matter, not just our DNA molecules. What if this information had an inherent sentience within it which caused the self-organising behaviour that we see all around us in Nature.
Every single molecule seems to know what to do as if it were inherently intelligent.  With the revolution currently occurring in physics, biology should look to the new scientific paradigm and wonder whether information deeper than the level of the molecule is actually powering the formation of our human bodies. And if we have a disease, just maybe this is caused by a change in this information which then causes a change in our physical bodies. Our current theories have been proved to be wrong, we need to embrace the new.
Conclusion
Many of the most enshrined ideas in biology are toppling. This is not happening due to its critics but from within the field itself. When we look at how one by one science’s most cherished ideas have fallen: from the selfish gene, survival of the fittest and gene therapy, we need to face the facts that we have simply got it wrong.
Nature is so much more fluid than we have been previously believed. We are not the results of the dictation of molecular machinery. We are entering into a new era of exploration and for those who can open their eyes to see it, it is as exciting if not more as the era that gave us relativity, the theory of evolution and quantum physics.
Because in the first time in human history the cycle of knowledge is coming all the way back again to what we knew in our deep past: that we are not machines, but connected to something deeper, that intelligent information flows through us and communicates with our environment, that human survival is so much better when we cooperate, not when we knock the ‘other’ out. Here’s to a paradigm revolution in biology! I hope that you are one of those who are going to be there.

Eat, Pray...Groove!

I've got you under my skin

Susie Orbach, psychologist and writer of the famous book, Fat is a Feminist issue, has commented on the film release of Eat, Pray, Love based on the runaway best-seller by Elizabeth Gilbert, and highlighted the Eat part. She argues that for most women, following Gilbert's example and spending some time just enjoying food without the guilt and recriminations would simply be impossible, so accustomed are we to denying and suppressing one of our most basic appetites.

She compares the appetite for food to the other human need for sleep and points out how ludicrous it would be if we used the same language about sleep that we do with food: comparing amounts, worrying that we are going to go out of control if we have too much etc.

I for one, don't share this obsession with food with my fellow women and I have only just come to realise how unusual I am to have reached my late thirities without developing any hatred of it. I enjoy food and the feeling of denial is completely unfamiliar to me. That is not to say I pig out on unhealthy items, but I have lived my entire life giving myself carte blanche to follow my natural desires and appetites. I give my body what it wants, when it wants and stop when it no longer wants it. The fact is that when a food is no longer forbidden, you rarely binge on it.

Hence chocolate is not the secret gorging habit with me that it is with so many women who deny themselves in public, then indulge behind closed doors. Once every month, my body tells me it would like to have chocolate, the rest of the time, it doesn't - so I don't eat it.

It's not that I don't care about being healthy either. I naturally veer towards healthy foods and I work out in the gym, but not from a desire to lose weight. Until very recently I was the only woman I know of who did not have weighting scales - I have just bought some in order to weigh a large package. I exercise because I like to feel strong, healthy and powerful in my physical form, sentiments that I realise that most women are divorced from.

But I am starting to realise what an exception I am not to be continuously obsessing about my appearance and denying myself food. I am an oddity not to live with perpetual guilt and the perceived pressures on women are only increasing.  With the advent of 'celebrity culture', it has become totally unacceptable for a woman to be larger than a UK size 10 at any age. This has happened so quickly, we have hardly noticed.

The supermodels of the early nineties that I grew up with were thin enough, but now even they would be rejected from the fashion world if they were starting out now. And you only have to look at footage of amateur beauty competitions from the 1950s to see how quickly we have gone from these smiling belles, in it for a laugh seemingly not caring if their 'thighs are too big' to the American size zero as the norm that we have today.

Out of the groove

What does it matter? Why am I blogging about this in the first place? Because I have realised that we women are doing more damage than we perhaps know. By denying ourselves such basic appetites and freedoms, we tend to shrink our consciousness instead of expand. By doing this we tend to deny ourselves our own creative flow.

If we are obsessed by our appearance and how others think of us, it is hard to get so lost in a creative project that we don't bother with grooming as we are consumed by the flow of our own creative fire. When I am truly in my Genius Groove, I don't give a toss what I look like. In fact self-consciousness is the antithesis of creativity, because self-consciousness brings your awareness back into your body, back into space and time and out of the quantum field where our genius resides, according to the new scientific ideas. So the more we are attached to the obsession with our outer appearance the less likely we are to let it all go and lose ourselves in our own creativity.

How can we hear the call of the soul, if we anchor our attention to the body and stay wrapped up in constant guilt of what we may or may not have eaten? To truly get into the groove needs a commitment to the authentic self - a love of who you are right now - not who you might be once you have lost some weight or have bigger boobs.

Being authentic

A connection to the authentic spirit within opens you up to the entire universe that lies waiting for you, with its dazzling dimensions. Within each and every soul lies treasures that make Victoria Beckham's latest shopping spree look positively anaemic and more importantly, irrelevant as a new world opens up that puts our physical, material reality into a greater perspective of multiple dimensions of consciousness.

And within the self, lies the connection to your own creativity, your own Genius Groove. If you can hear the voice of your creativity, if it grips you so strongly that even for a few moments in a week you can drown out the tugs to be; thinner, prettier, to have this, have that, to clean, to put the kids before your own happiness; you are on your way.

So ladies, let yourselves go! Leave the hair straighteners and the pluckers for just one day -  get wild! Look into your own eyes in the mirror and look at who you really are - your true self naked and beyond a body.  When you really start to hear your inner calling and get into the Genius Groove, guess what? All the guilt and the hatred of yourself will start to fall away as you start to connect to the deepest aspect of you - unconditional love. And ironically, when you are truly connected to your self and in your Genius Groove, you will become more beautiful than you have ever been, because you no longer care about what is on the outside, you are too busy having a love affair with the true self within and that is where true beauty lies.
