Yeah, right!!


OK - This is from the stable of really fabulous science - not!! Astronomers can't find what they expect to find near black holes, namely old stars, so they put forward a new theory - that something is gobbling them up rather than face the possibility that their ideas are wrong. It's like Ptolemy's epicycles all over again.

Ptolemy's epicycles were added to his view of the cosmos as his observations did not fit his theory - namely that the earth is the centre of the universe. Lesson - if it don't work don't fudge it.





Yet it seems that history is repeating itself  as we are inventing concepts that we think must exist because they fit our beliefs not our observations
